There are many challenges encountered in the process of fertility treatment. Emotional, physical and psychological. Even initial decisions can bring strain onto the relationship and this can be more complex again for same sex couples. Some people find themselves confused that they find it so hard when it "should be" joyful.

Sometimes, therapy is useful for individuals. Maybe you don’t want to put any further strain on your partner, or perhaps you are feeling misunderstood or attempting to manage the impact physically and mentally of the treatment. You could be experiencing anxiety about the process or be trying to process a loss. These are all common reasons that clients come to therapy with so that they can be supported through what can be, for various reasons, a testing and sometimes gruelling process. Therapy is also a useful tool for couples to use who can find communication challenging during this time. The therapeutic environment is a safe place to have difficult conversations and to be supported, sometimes with guidance, towards hearing each other, being heard and furthering your understanding as a couple.
